About us
The Black family has been farming in the Glens of Antrim for generations and the farm has been certified organic by Soil Association since 2000.
Our farm produce is fully traceable, from farm to fork. We sell fresh produce at local farmer's markets when available, see us on the Naturally North Coast website. Otherwise, our produce is fast-frozen immediately after butchering and is available to order by contacting us by email or phone. Produce can be collected in Ballycastle or we deliver locally for a small charge. You can also order through our local co-operative buying scheme, BOXA. See the Produce and prices page for more details.
Our on-farm self-catering accommodation is located in Glenshesk on the slopes of Knocklayde mountain. The Glens of Antrim is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and much of the farm is in the Carey Valley Area of Special Scientific Interest. With great views of Glenshesk, Rathlin Island and even Scotland, it is perfect for families and small groups, walkers, artists, cyclists and those with an interest in wildlife and the environment. For more details and how to book see our Holiday accommodation page.
We have recently installed an on-farm hydro-electric power system which feeds into the National Grid. A walking tour of our HEP system is under construction.
